It's time for our second annual “You Are Loved” Service Sunday!
On December 17th, we will have the opportunity to serve our neighbors at the Homeless Alliance once again. Each Sunday, we remind one another that we are always already loved by God – a message that our neighbors who struggle with housing and food insecurity desperately need to hear. There is no clearer way we can share this good news than by being in relationship with them as a congregation and helping meet their immediate needs.
The morning will begin at 9:00 am in the Sanctuary with a brief prayer service as we celebrate the Third Sunday of Advent. Immediately following the service one group from Westminster will head down to the Homeless Alliance to serve a holiday meal (along with some holiday cheer provided by the band Trailer Folk) and give the gifts we have been collecting since July.
A second group will stay at Westminster to help prepare Christmas for our Feed My Sheep families. Along with service opportunities, there will be holiday music in the Garden Court and activities for children. We are making preparations and there is an important role for everyone who gets involved! Whatever your gifts might be this is a great opportunity to use the to show Christ’s love!
For those who love to cook, we need help preparing the meal (we plan to serve 300 friends). If you are passionate about helping children, sign up to help fill a Christmas stocking for one of our Feed My Sheep kids. This year it is very simple, as we have a list for each child to help make buying easy! Even if it is difficult for you to get out, or if you will be out of town, there are ways to participate in this important day.

Feed My Sheep Stockings
One of the many pieces of our “You Are Loved” Service Sunday is providing small gifts and treasures for the children in the Feed My Sheep program. The families in Feed My Sheep receive monthly assistance with groceries from the ministry, and during the holidays they get a little something extra. It is our goal to provide each child in this program with stocking stuffers, but we need your help. Sign up to buy for a child, and all you have to do is purchase small gifts and bring them to Room 105 in a bag labeled with the child's name.
