THIS WEEK I LEARNED

We want each child to know they are loved, valued and safe in our ministry. One of the ways we do this is by following our group promises. Please take time to review it with your child before class so that they understand the expectations. We will:  

• Listen when others are speaking and wait our turn to share  
• Keep our hands, feet, and objects to ourselves  
• Use calm, walking feet to move around the room  
• Use kind and encouraging words  
• Follow directions and make safe choices  

Today in Nursery and Godly Play we are getting ready for VBS. They are contributing to their gifts and talents by decorating skiers, creating trees, and crafting snowflakes for the snowball mountain challenge.

The Chapel Singers will begin learning the songs for VBS for June 1-4.

In our sensory-friendly service, we focused on Luke 24:13–35, The story Jesus shares in the gospel of Luke about the Road to Emmaus where we learn that sometimes we do not recognize God walking beside us until later.
