THIS WEEK I LEARNED

We want each child to know they are loved, valued and safe in our ministry. One of the ways we do this is by following our group promises. Please take time to review it with your child before class so that they understand the expectations. We will:  

• Listen when others are speaking and wait our turn to share  
• Keep our hands, feet, and objects to ourselves  
• Use calm, walking feet to move around the room  
• Use kind and encouraging words  
• Follow directions and make safe choices  

In Godly Play and Chapel, we are learning all about God’s great creation as we spend the summer reflecting on the Creation story. Our summer sessions will include special crafts and activities.

The Chapel Singers will be taking the summer off and resume meeting in September.

In our sensory-friendly service, we reflected on the story from John 1:1-14 and learned all about Jesus who is God’s Word—bringing light and life into the world.  A phrase we spent time discussing and reciting was “The light reminds us that God is with us.”
